About Us
Amadeo is dedicated to the conservation and advancement of the pure-bred Doberman Pinscher.
Located in the Rust Belt of the Midwest/Mid-Atlantic, we have been extremely fortunate to have acquired dogs & mentors amongst some of the world’s most respected bloodlines and breeders. Grateful to have made many friends across the globe through our Dobermans along the way.
Dutton was our first Doberman. First show dog. First Champion/Grand Champion. First time attending the DPCA National Specialty, and at 10 months old handled by his breeder David Goldfein, he took Winners Dog! His success turned a Doberman enthusiast/pet home into a show home.
Our aim is to preserve correct structure, both powerful and elegant, coupled with an emphasis on health and temperament as great ambassadors for the breed. Blending brains, beauty and brawn creating elite guardians and loyal companions.
First and foremost, the Doberman is a personal protection dog, and their very function should be apparent by their appearance — a force to be reckoned with. Great ones undeniably own the ground on which they stand.
Hallmarks of the breed include: medium size, sleek, compact, muscular, powerful, smooth, elegant, proud, highly intelligent & fiercely loyal. Square, yet well angulated with curves and arches. Cropped and docked. Distinct rust markings. Majestic, imposing, and a formidable force.
Extreme athleticism, strong protective instincts, extraordinary intelligence and deeply affectionate — this working breed is remarkably trainable and thrives on connection, bonding deeply with their families.
The Doberman should have an indisputable presence: alert, fearless, reflecting great nobility. He is aware of his surroundings with absolute focus, appearing larger than he really is because of his heavy bone and substance.
While many styles persist, we have only one type — as detailed in our official AKC Breed Standard.
We do not condone or support the breeding of albino (white) Dobermans as it is a deleterious genetic mutation.
